You have most likely used Samsung’s traditional web browser before and may be was not impressed. Most android smartphone users prefer Google Chrome for browsing needs. And Google has been happy to include Chrome by default in all android devices, increasing its popularity.

However, Samsung seems to have other plans to reduce Chrome’s dominance. The recently released Samsung Internet Beta browser app is set to raise eyebrows.

Recently, the Korean company released Samsung Internet Beta app, which might make the game a little stiff. Available for download at Google Play Store, Samsung Internet Beta allows you to test upcoming features first.

Being a standalone Samsung Internet Beta app, it allows the company to test new features of its web browser with users who don’t mind using a beta app.

The app offers support for features like the CloseBy extension, Web Payment, Video Assistant and DuckDuckGo engine support. Some of these are already included in the previous stable versions of Samsung Internet browser. More new features are likely to be added in future versions, given that this is just the start of testing phases.

We cannot say much what top features will finally lure users from Chrome, as the battle between Samsung and Google tends to such basics. There is still a long way to go. You can now download the Samsung Internet Beta app from Google Play Store. All Samsung smartphones and Google handsets (Nexus and Pixel) with Android OS 5.0 and above are supported.
